Who is eligible for coverage?
Canadian residents aged 50 and over, their Spouses, and their Dependent Children under age 21, or up to age 25 if a full-time student. Dependent children of any age may be covered if they are mentally or physically incapable of self-support.
When does my coverage begin?
Coverage begins on the first day of the month following the day we receive your completed, signed enrollment form and first premium payment. The minimum enrollment is 12 months.
When does coverage end?
Coverage ends on the last day of the month following the date the applicant dies. A spouse covered under this Plan may retain their coverage and coverage for their dependent children by continuing their monthly premium payments.
Will my rates change?
Premiums change with your age, on the first day of the month following your birthday. The age of the oldest member of a couple or family determines the premium rate. Rates and coverage are subject to change with 30 days notice.
